Quick Spanish Rice

Our Chipotle Lime Fusions can help you make delicious Spanish rice any time from ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.
Ingredients
Makes 4 1/2 cup servings
2 cups cooked rice (Add 1 cup uncooked rice to 2 cups water in a rice cooker or try Padma’s Easy Exotic Steamed Rice for perfect rice in 3 microwaved minutes.)
2 tsp olive oil
4 Tbsp salsa
2 Tbsp Everett’s Chipotle Lime Fusion
2 Tbsp water
Method
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add salsa and Chipotle Lime Fusion to the heated oil and stir until aromatic, about a minute.
- Mix in cooked rice and water until thoroughly combined. Cover and switch to low heat for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed, and that’s it!
Serve as a side dish or add peas, diced carrots and black or pinto beans to create a delicious and hearty main course.
If you don’t have a rice cooker, add 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer just until water is absorbed, about 30 minutes in our experience, give or take.
