Scalloped Apples

Scalloped apples are a delicious side dish, perfect to brighten up any meal. Dial up the intrigue of scalloped apples with Everett’s Lavender Thyme Fusions which adds sweet floral notes and a hint of herbs. Try this as a pie filling or a topping for oatmeal.
Ingredients
Makes 6-8 servings
8 medium sized apples, peeled and sliced into wedges
1 Tbsp margarine or vegan butter
1 Tbsp Everett's Lavender Thyme Fusion
optional:
1-2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp Everett's Lavender Thyme Fusion for garnish
Method
- Place the apples wedges, Fusion and sugar to taste if desired into a large mixing bowl. Toss to coat the apples evenly taking care not to break the wedges.
- Melt the margarine in a large stock pan on a medium heat.
- Add the seasoned apples to the stock pan and gently to in the melted margarine.
- Cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15 minutes or to desired softness of the apples. If using this for pie filling, under cook the apples so they remain firm for baking.
