With this simple recipe, you’ll make a beautiful New York Strip Steak, reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside.
Ingredients
Makes 4 servings
4 New York Strip Steaks
4 Tbsp Everett’s Oregano Fennel Fusion
4 Tbsp olive oil
Method
- In a large bowl, mix the Fusion and olive oil into a paste.
- Rub the steaks with the paste to thoroughly coat them. Let them sit at room temperature for about an hour before cooking to allow them to marinate and absorb the flavors.
- Preheat a grill pan or skillet on high with the stovetop vent running (around 500 F). You’ll know when the pan is ready when water flicked onto the pan immediately evaporates.
- Sear the steaks for 2 minutes per side on high heat. Then turn the cooktop down to medium (around 300 F) and cook to desired doneness, 4 minutes per side for medium rare or 140 F if you’re using a meat thermometer.
